CABIN BY THE LAKE
Young women have gone mysteriously missing in a quiet lakeside community. His latest script is about a serial killer cum kidnapper who drowns beautiful young women. For research, he grabs his victims off the streets and locks them up in his homey-on-the-outside, dungeon-on-the-inside cabin by the lake, where he feeds, clothes, then dunks them into the lake with a concrete block tied to their ankles. The screenwriter then scuba-dives into the lake the next day to retrieve his blue and bloated creations to observe them back home.

CAPE FEAR

Just when he thinks it can't get any worse, the CIA and a Vatican art restorer, Anna Baragli (MacDowell, Tara Road, Beauty Shop), also come into the picture.

Beginning with a young Joan witnessing her sister's rape and murder at the hands of brutal English soldiers, the film picks up years later when Joan appears at the court of the French Dauphin, who is making little progress against his enemies. Joan's self-confidence and charisma induce the Dauphin to take a gamble by allowing her to lead his troops, resulting in an upset victory at Orleans. However, Joan eventually outlives her usefulness to the French throne and is sold out to the English, who burn her for heresy. The movie features several exciting medieval battle scenes.
